Why Volunteering? Why us? – Part 1
There are many benefits of volunteering. To name a few:
1. Learning or developing new skills
2. Bringing something positive to community
3. More employment possibilities
4. Meeting different people and different cultures
1. Learning or developing new skills
You have a stable job, you want to make a gap year, you are a recent graduate or you are already retired – doesn’t really matter. It is never too late to discover, develop or improve skills.
There are different types of volunteer work – in the nature, with animals, teaching, preservation etc., you can always contribute.
In Peace and Happiness Foundation, we offer you the possibility to test your creativity free of charge – there are no agencies, no fees, no costs.
There are plenty of options for you: you can volunteer as a teacher in local schools in Thailand, or maybe you are good at drawing? We are looking for an illustrator for comic books! Maybe you like to make lesson plans for primary school?
2. Bringing something positive to community
Volunteering is ultimately about helping others and having an impact on people’s wellbeing. There is always something positive you can bring to your community or to some other.
The benefits are enormous: eventually you will see how people appreciate it! They will be so grateful to you that it will make you want more to take part in community work!
We are based in Thailand. Our schools are mostly situated in provinces. Thailand is a rich country with variety of local traditions: dances, music, food, customs.
People are very friendly and open and you would end up getting such a positive feedback from your work, that it would seem to you as if you were receiving more than giving.
Join our foundation and you will experience the real beauties of Southeast Asia!
3. More employment possibilities
Nobody will say “no” if you want to volunteer. Whether you are into arts, engineering, medicine, you can always knock at the door and ask if you can volunteer in your or some other community.
What you will experience is rewarding. You will get a knowledge, recommendations and a clue about what you really want to do. In addition, 73% of employers would recruit a candidate with volunteering experience over one without.
In our foundation, you can improve different skills, working and personal, while experiencing life in Thailand. It may be the best thing for you and your future career!
4. Meeting different people and different cultures
Volunteering also offers a huge networking opportunity. Not only will you develop personal and professional relationships but it is also a great way to learn about people.
Networking is an exciting benefit of volunteering and you can never tell who you will meet or what new information you will learn and what impact this could have on your life.
We are international team from different continents! Many more are to come! We are looking forward to meeting you!
